JOSH GITOMER, BuyGitomer's Art Director, brings 30 years design experience, serving clients across North America, Europe and Asia. In 2000, he received the coveted Gail Rich Award, a lifetime achievement award from the California Cultural Council. His last award was in 1960 at age 11 when he won a prayer book for perfect attendance at Hebrew school. There was a bit of a dry spell in between. Josh is also the founder and conductor of the 24-voice Mount Madonna Choir, now in it's 25th season, and the 65-member Pacific Voices, presently completing its 14th year. The two groups have a combined discography of 21 CDs. For most of the 1980's he was music director for Hanuman Production's annual staging of the Indian epic Ramayana, and has scored several musicals for that company, including Androcles and the Lion, Man of the House, Too Many Doctors, and No Hope for Charity.
Josh also teaches vocal music at DeLaveaga Elementary School where one of his 9-year-old students (the daughter of a prominent lawyer) has threatened swift legal action if she doesn't get a solo. Somewhere in the Ukraine on the banks of the Don River is a little village called Zhitamir. That is the source of his curious name.
